Never Is Forever Poem by Sandra Feldman

Never Is Forever

Rating: 5.0

It was meant to be
Never,
You and I,
Never, the sky,
As all Oceans are wide,
And all Seas have their tide,
Our impossible love,
Was never to be.

But could Love be canceled,
And still stay alive?
A rose does not die,
When beloved butterfly,
Parts, after participating,
In nectar's delight,
Before taking flight.

For me, not the same,
I am hardly alive,
No place to go,
No place to hide,
Feeling nothing inside,
Wanting so not to notice,
All life on the outside,
Not to breath in the sea,
Not to talk to the moon,
Not to feel again passion,
Just an empty cocoon.

As I falter and weaken,
My heart made of glass,
Suddenly shatters,
As my shadow is cast.

Love lost, or unrealized is the most devastating blow to a heart and soul. I felt the pain in this.
