Never Knowing Another Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Never Knowing Another

Rating: 5.0

Watching men and women falling in and out of love,
caring then throwing the other away for someone
else.

Causing turmoil, grief, sorrow, loneliness and
abandonment, not caring one iota for doing it, just
selfishly wanting something more than what they have.

Why do people do this horrendous thing to one another,
what is the reason? Wouldn't it be kinder and easier
to love one person throughout life.

Getting to know each other intimately and thoroughly,
having a wonderful life, instead of going from one
person to another.

Never having the experience of knowing someone so
intensely and never being known the same way by any-
one else in life.

Well said! I love the poem, and I love my wife. We have been married for over 49 years now. Your poems are always high quality. I'm voting this one a ten.
