Never Meant To Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Never Meant To

Never meant to

I read a poem
today, after waking up.

It was unlike the soldiers
as we used to know, uniformed
it was rebel, avant garde, new comer.

Meaningful
counting not sheep
steps instead, to fall asleep
in total darkness, upward, of stone
they had shapes of human's body and face
and poet found it difficult to define silent ones;
stone never talks.

"How to put into language what was never meant to? "
