Never Moving Foward Poem by Roxaine Brown

Never Moving Foward

I lie here
Frozen in time
Never to move foward
My life was no longer independent
I was immobilized now, forever
By a careless man
My father.
That night is but a faint memory
I was told i was in a crash
But I was old enough to realize
Pathetic lies
He'd beatin me till i was
lifeless and limp then
left me for death on the streets corner
I'd cried silently, not daring to be noticed
Crying, crying, crying till nights end
Lying on the ground wishing I was dead
I still regret being found
For dying sounded pretty nice
That forsaken night
If I could've changed one thing
I wouldn't of been saved, I'd just lay there
Till death came and claimed my life
