Never Quit On My Dreams Poem by Akeem Mair

Never Quit On My Dreams

Sometimes I feel like I'm trapped
My dreams suffocating
I'm Thinking how I'm suppose to make it
with the money I'm making
It's like the game of life ain't fair
Don't wanna see me make it
Only gives me pain and struggles
Starve me for my bacon
While I'm chasing after dreams
My bills are never patient
They keep on coming ask for money
My dreams can't make a payment
They want me to cash in all my dreams
then they'll make it easy
But the guilt of never achieving
will eat me up completely
I don't care if I have to struggle
I hear my mama crying
All the struggles from family
Keeps my dreams from dying
The devil kept life from changing
But God is making moves
all my trust I put in him
And things will come to you
But being broke and broken,
will never make a man quit
I sacrificed my time and money
for a major hit
It ain't the money but the passion
that's going to make me rich
Keep my heart in the game,
strong faith to see it click
Cause at the top of my own limitations
is where my dreams sit
