New Home Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

New Home

It was a mistake
Cannot take anything back
Let it be gone
Like a wind blown veil

My colourful veil
Now must be stuck
In some thorny desert bush
My veil, my long time entity
Now torn and crushed
But that veil was old

It's time to replace
My garb with grace
New seasons, new reasons
An attempt to retrace
My steps to where
I was once a carefree lass

Rebuilding a future
With new bricks
Sturdier sticks
Wholesome
Not lonesome
Just my own
Little cottage
A true home
