Night Poem by Aakash Nengroo

Night

Rating: 4.8

when the sun sets every evening...
with its glorious warmness and shine...
when the homecomings increase..
of every diurnal creature...

When nocturnals open their eyes...
to the world of their own...
to remind us of their existence

When the light starts to fade away...
And the black sheath thickens...
the tiny beads of light
come up in the vast sky..

When coldest of colds flows slowly..
seeping into the bones...
when the two legged half witted...
materialistic creatures close thier doors....
when noise of magnificent iron beasts fades away...
And the perpetual silence reigns..

when the sparkling creatures
fly aimlessly in my garden...

When the coffee in the cup
hot...promising me the sleeplessness
pours out its inviting steam

The traitor heart betrays me again...
wanders on to forbidden tracks...
of those unwanted memories...
which gives it peace...

Tired and fed up again...
in an another sleepless night...
after the glorious sun had gone.
when the night had started to rule...
And the silence had been disturbed by its grunts..

Asks me again and again...

Who was she?
And who am i?

when the two legged half witted... materialistic creatures close thier doors. the perpetual silence reigns. The traitor heart betrays me again... Human condition when in l ove expressed in an original way. It is very attractive to see how everyone sees the reality Of love differently. Thank you dear poet. tony

The use of pauses in this really supports the imagery in this, while also adding the feeling of reflection. It really does feel like night in this poem and the cold air can almost be felt.

Why have you used the letter N instead of And? It lets this otherwise fine poem down on the very last line!
