Night Beach Poem by Daniele Cerasoli

Night Beach

A breath of wind so fierce,
The leaves of wood stir in the dusk,
Jagged razors arise on the fading limit;
Out of the sea, like mounts in a meadow,
Advancing fleetly toward the smooth shore.
Alas the dark! Blue fading from sight
Glistening in the dying light
The brisk sea confronts the stiff coast;
Relentlessly encroaching waves
Attack the grains that retreat with the tide.
With every tranquilizing gale
Faith is approaching its fullness
Only to fall back into the howling night.
