Night Dance Poem by Elizabeth Lindberg

Night Dance

Rating: 5.0

Cease and desist! dark thoughts in the gloom!
I dance in the light with the shadows of moon!
I hear the night music of crickets that sing,
their songs lifts my heart, and I find it soothing,

the night air caresses my face with a breeze,
the stars light the sky where they wink and they tease,
I move in a dance, by a pool, then glide in,
the water is cool and feels good on my skin,

I'm alive! I'm alive! every nerve wants to cry!
I'm so glad I'm alive! as I gaze at the sky,
my cares float away like a leaf in the wind,
the night hears my heartbeat, the moon is my friend,

sad has no chance when I come here like this,
a welcome oasis, to come when I wish,
where I dance in the light with the shadows of moon,
to conquer my fears, and to banish the gloom
