Night Lift Poem by Emmanuel Stone

Night Lift

Night lift, won't you take me away?
I just want the white powder
slipping under my feet.

Down the chimney there is an adventure
the hard channels through to the angled track
next to the lake frozen over
and back into the rest of the world.

And standing above my ego
looking through the alley
I see the chairlift to heaven
Oh, won't you take me away?
