Oh, this night of the crescent moon!
Enchants the restless heart with a lover's tune
A soothing serenade sang by a whispered breeze
In a melody of placid dreams lies a hopeful promise
That we all know some lovers failed to keep-
So we rest on to its cradle, where we find gentlest sleep
Yet the moon has ways to charm and truly sway
Each heart that wanders longing that someday
Someone out there will come, make beautiful
A night when the captivating moon is full!
