Night Terrors Poem by Phil Soar

Night Terrors

As darkness fell, I heard the screams
A ghostly sign of shattered dreams
The house was haunted, so was my mind
A horror story my brain left behind
Ghoulies and poltergeists scared me to death
Took away meaning and captured my breath
Nightmares returned and dreams became fraught
That horror DVD should not have been bought
