Nina, Oh Nina, please try not to cry…
Don’t shed a tear or we’ll all wonder why?
To a practical rule you don’t always comply…
Don’t play with the boys if you can’t keep your eyes dry…

Nina, Oh Nina, you’re growing up fast…
And it’s not that we’d like you to belong to a caste…
But to act like a lady is a requirement hard-and-fast…
If you stick to your girlfriends, you’ll soon have a blast…

Nina, Oh Nina, you’re a strong-hearted girl…
And although it is true you can never be an earl…
No one can dare say you are no mother-of-pearl…
We would surely be in awe watching you unfurl…
