Nineteen Minutes Poem by Selina Gurgacz

Nineteen Minutes

Rating: 5.0

in nineteen minutes,
you can mow the front lawn,
colour your hair,
watch a third of a hockey game.
you can bake scones,
or get a tooth filled by a dentist.
you can fold laundry for a family of five.
or,
as Peter Houghton knows....
in nineteen minutes,
you can bring the world
to a screeching halt.

I wonder how long it took to dropp the bomb on Hiroshima? Not sure what catastrophe you are referring to, but you have certainly whetted my appetite to find out... love, Allie xxxx
