No Bones, Beads, Or Relics Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

No Bones, Beads, Or Relics

Barriers to finding truth arise
For those too stubborn to open their eyes.
Preferring to hold on to vain tradition
False teachings of men that lead to deception.

Such pitiful and foolish malady
Infects many souls extensively
When all the while God has shown the way
To be saved, to be free, sins washed away!

No bones, beads, or relics to venerate
For God is Spirit, in His Word rests our faith,
No images needed for in our hearts He dwells
To guide and to teach us, as His truth would tell.

He said 'Ask, you will receive'
And 'Seek, for you will find.'
'Knock, it will be opened, ' just believe
The Holy Spirit will open your mind.
