walking towards you
walking away from reality
it all seems so unreal
You are so good
so honest and kind
so unlike this world
the world you created
but I cannot knowingly
walk away from You
because you hold all the truth
that I believe
you are my Father
and my best friend
and I know in my heart
that You will never leave me
so with this knowledge
buried in my heart
I walk towards you
with fervor and fire
warming the chambers of my heart
I hope and pray that others may
see Your light in me
and want to know You too
Lord I pray that this fire in my heart
be kindled so that people
will feel the warmth
and turn to You for the same
