No Lies Poem by alex haywood

No Lies

Rating: 5.0

It isn't any lies you've told
I know of none, my love

nor have I seen lust
reflected in your eye
for anyone but me

if you were to leave
it would be your love
I miss
not your lovemaking
powerful as it is
gripping my heart in a vice

it's not what your body does
but what your eyes see
in me

You see, it is not the lies
there are none
I envy your eye
I'm jealous of the light
that penetrates you

not an untruth
has escaped your lips
this I know
but my man thoughts
clash
with my boy mind
the boy feeling the swelling
choking, overwhelming joy
of feeling a woman,
(you)
as every boy does
at least once

but he's terrified
when you're gone
he knows no time young as he is
doesn't know you'd be back
if he had
any luck

No, no, it's not the lies
I know of none
my love

A very innocent and pure portrayal of your love, seeing no lies from the one who is loved - no faults is a wonderful thing. Enjoyed this poem! Imagery is great and rhythm steady throughout. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
