No Longer Poem by Jacques Johan Swart

No Longer

Rating: 4.5

Your smile has faded,
Like mist vanishes before the sun
The sound of your voice,
No longer whispers in the wind
And the memories we shared
Surfaces less and less everyday
Your embrace on a cold day
No longer warms my soul
Your beautiful, lively eyes
Now dead and soulless
Our pictures are lined up,
In old haunting frames
The flower of our friendship
Lays buried in a shallow grave

Still everyday I shed a tear
Everyday I wish you were here
Everyday my heart aches for you
Everyday I can't believe that its true

You always were the one I loved
Though the words never came to be

You're my angel
And I miss you each and everyda
