No Longer A Gleam Poem by Jackie Oakden

No Longer A Gleam

life sucks but you don't care
I know that life is never fair
because you were never there
you looked at me and walked away without a stare
this is the one thing that we cannot share

you said this town blows you came from where
my heart had a single layer
now it's gone because you made it tear
I know that you never cared

because you really stink
my soul will never be free
oh can't you see
you tore my tiny little heart into pieces

I want this so bad but I can't sieze this
I don't want my own self to sink
my face is now not gonna be pink
we never went skating in a rink
I don't think we never will
all I feel like is predater's kill

was I part of your dreams
where your head is full of steam
where your nasty thoughts can teem
where your presence is no longer a gleam
