No Memories Of You Poem by Arlene Dery

No Memories Of You

Rating: 5.0

Always missing, never finding,
On the path that's ever winding-
Around in search of you,
(It was all I knew to do) .
Mistakes that are never right,
So undermines the soulful plight,
How much I needed you!
-No memories. (Will have to do) .
I was doomed to my fate,
When time refused to wait,
Sometimes hope will not endure,
A longing heart, there is no cure.
Biding in my golden age,
Trapped inside a timeless cage,
No memories of you to share,
I can't look back for nothing's there.
A cruel trick, life played on me,
It wouldn't end happily.
My youth is gone, the days are past,
Now the grave's approaching fast.

A haunting and saddened rendition, hard to imagine no memories. Excellent poem. Thank you, RoseAnn

Thank you. One of the hardest to write emotionally.
