No Mess For Me Poem by Elizabeth Muller

No Mess For Me

My room's a mess
I'd clean it if I could
but I can't so I won't
clean it the way I should

I'm too busy I'm too busy
I'm watching t.v.
The only way to make me clean it
Is by bribing me

No I won't
No not ever
Because I am
Just too clever

I'll be a scientist when I grow up
I'll make a machine to clean it up
Then there will be no work to do
No not me, and no not you

But I guess I'm just too old
Seeing I am forty-five
But soon I will clean it
While I am still alive
