No One Knows Where You Have Gone Poem by Emmanuel Stone

No One Knows Where You Have Gone

No one knows where you have gone
but let me tell you that here
the country side is burning,
raiders are on the shore
and the people are fleeing,
fleeing from their homes.

The drought is long,
the harvest poor
we are but wretched souls
and you are gone.
