No Ordinary Angel Poem by Storm Pedersen

No Ordinary Angel

Rating: 4.0

Part one:
She falls from the place
She'd known as home
That place known as heaven
Home to all those angels
Angels whom not yet fallen
Against their will
For those earthly desires

As she starts plummeting towards the earth
She starts realizing
This just might be the end
As she'd never thought possible

Then that guy she'd fallen for
Flashes before her angelic eyes
Her earthly desire
The one she was drawn to
The reason why she has now fallen
Fallen away from the others of her kind

She extends her majestic wings of night
Stopping herself from diving towards the earth
These wings stop the speed of her fall
To give her some time to think
As she continues to approach this earth

She'd always thought the other angels to be stupid and ignorant
To have fallen for such ridiculous earthly desires
To leave the one place
They've always called home
To be with their earthly desires
They're so enchanted by

Then she remembers the first time
Her angelic eyes caught the sight of him
And ever since then
She couldn't ever imagine letting go

Part two:
Two years have passed
During her fallen journey towards the earth
As she finally descends the earth with arms wide open
Realization hits her like an axe cutting a slab of wood in half

During her two years of pain and tears
As she had descended towards the earth
Towards her earthly desire
Towards the guy that had caught her eye
Faster than all of the angelic males
Back where she had fallen from

As her wings star to disappear
Everything she had known
Everything she had dreamed about
Everything she had thought about
Has all changed

Those tears begun flowing rapidly
Those feelings of pain shot at her like a lightning bolt
As she walks for the first time upon this earth
She so willingly made up her mind to fall upon

This angel stumbled and fell
As if she was a child walking for the first time
One might think she was indeed quite that child
But unlike most children
She had the beauty of a supermodel
Which every teenage girl wishes they had

Down here on earth
She is considered an ordinary sixteen year old
While up there
Where she has spent two years falling from
She was considered quite differently

She was considered extraordinary
Considered more beautiful than Aphrodite herself
Considered the prodigy with no parents
Considered a billion times older than the average teenage girl
Considered the poet of all poets
Upon this universe they have decided to live upon and call home

The one and only
A one of a kind
The one that no one can match up to

Part three:
She wandered this earth
She indeed walked upon this earth
But here
She didn't dance of joy
Nor sing of happiness

She wandered on and on
Until her graceful, quite delicate feet grew sore
Sore with blisters
That thing which happened to a humans body
But never hers

She dreamed
She thought
She talked
She whispered to the birds
She shouted to the thunderous skies
She cried with all the pain and sadness inside of her

Though, not without a reason
Oh she had reasons
Yes she did
Rather quite a few of reasons
Reasons small enough to whisper to the wind
Reasons big enough to shout during the war
Yes indeed
This angel had reasons for her actions

Though, at times
She did not understand
Understand the human ways
Of which she began to develop

Maybe she was meant to live upon this earth
Though, then again
She wasn't so sure about that

She began feeling something shed never felt before
It made her gasp of fear
For she's never felt like this before
And it frightened her quite ever so

Still having her angelic sight
She looked ahead of her
And caught the sight of him

Part four:
She was scared
She was quite frightened
What might happen next

The next thing she knows
She's taken back in time
Back in time when she first met him

Back then
Three years ago
He was different
He looked differently
He acted differently

Back in the present
Once again
She realizes something
It hits her like the titanic smashing into the iceberg

He was not the man he once was

Something in his eyes were unrecognizable
It was as if someone had frozen them
As if they had been sucked dry of all life

There was something peculiar
Something about him
Something not quit human

Part five:
There was an eerie aura surrounding him
Something she just couldn't put a finger upon
That something made her ever so skeptical
As much as she yearned to be in his arms once again
She had to try extremely hard
Not to do so

She has dreamed of this moment
When they would meet once again

But this
This is nothing of what she had dreamed would happen

He reminded her of a nightmare
A nightmare she used to dream about every frightful night
Something she had always hoped would never happen to the ones she loves
Especially this guy
This guy who has been her earthly desire
This guy who has been her reason for falling
Her reason for falling away from the others of her kind

If her earthly desire
If her love is unreachable
Then what shall become of her now
