No Shoes Poem by Paul Larmour

No Shoes

all through the smoky night
and cloudy realities of life

all through the inky loneliness
and shadowy chasms of night

all through the false idols
and doomed prophets of lies

all through the repeating morning
and misty melancholy daylights

all through the envious eyes
and broken twisted bodies of jealously

burns brightly my love
its smoldering presence
heats the air around me

its fiery breath will singe your soul

it burns like a billion suns
in my heart

it shines like a billion stars
in my eyes

you are the wind that fans this great love
you are the sweet summer zephyr
sighing
over my red hot heart
together we dance with no shoes
