No Submission Poem by Vera Sidhwa

No Submission

Rating: 5.0

My children laughed and twirled around.
Placing their hands on their mouth without a sound.
They played like this so merrily.
Their hearts beating so happily.

I chose it to be, they would never submit,
To me or anyone for that.
I chose that they would only play,
And play joyously till their heart beat wild.

My children, your innocence amazes me,
For that reason, there will no submission be.
You're capable of listening to me when I tell,
If you did something wrong or something well.
