Ellen Shaw

No Times Over

if i told you ten times over
that i love you
it would never be enough
you would hear only
ten lies
ten hurts
ten plans of escape
so i tell you no times over
that i love you
you hear
no lies
no hurts
no plans of escape
so in my silence
i tell you my best lie
i tell it to you no times over

You have a unique flair to your poetry that draws me in, immediately....No time over....what a eye opening concept!
Why the heart wastes it's words on one that doesn't reciprocate, a mystery we have all been privy to...excellent poem. PEACE (Report) Reply
