No Words Yet Poem by Viola Grey

No Words Yet

Rating: 5.0

I'm searching for the words
but they're locked tight
as a vault, submerged
in a deep sea of pain
where treasures burried
still swim on the surface.
You are all I miss,
yet cannot express the loss
as tears threaten to drown me,
sorrow - tear me apart.
I'll never forget you,
cliche`, but always true.
I wear you like a scar
imprinted on my soul.
Regret nothing - they say -
but do they really know me
as you always did.
I can't let you go.
We never move on from love
that stains our eyes
with tears half burried
awaiting your name.
I'll always love you,
always wonder
whether I could have saved you...
from yourself.
Our Mother's torment
will survive her always
as we gently accept,
as we never forget.

Like it. 'I wear you like a scar, ' top line, that is. This is something that I'm sure most of us will be able to empathise with for one reason or another. Good work.
