Nocturnal Rain
Out on its way round midnite here,
Some nocturnal rain taps my window pane
Like poe’s silly raven…rain brings me the
fondest refrain….
which dances with its lifetime friends,
gaily chuckling with thunder and lightning
So fondly wide awake am I....
Will any of them come closer by,
to snatch me off my feet? ? ? ?
Maybe so…as I fondly repeat…
the rain’s lovely tapping beat.
If only one can see,
How my emotions move in mimicry…
Ahh…..this I know truly…
What this nocturnal rain evokes in me,
- the hidden longings I've kept for thee.
