‘You are my light’

I sit in the darkness of my cave
When my world is black
I rant and rave
I shout the blues out of me
I sit in the darkness
So I can see a way
To find my light

I sit alone in company
The darkness still surrounds me
The party is going full tilt
Still I sit like a flower in wilt
I sit in my dark world
Thoughts so black feeling blue
Searching for my light

Even when I sit in the dark alone
I don’t feel completely on my own
There is one thought that always comes through
I can banish the black and blue
When I get thoughts of you
Cos even in my darkest plight
Noireen you are my light
