None Can Own The Skies!
None can own the skies
'tis the open field
for falcons and for flies
hold your thread but fast
‘tis not that much fragile
Strength is not in thread
In our fingers' hold
hope can always last
to fight with evil vile
just think it in your mind
the ways we always find
kites fly but on the blows
and stars do never laugh
we open these our eyes
and never keep them close
the kite with its thread
one can own and hold
the seven folds and layers
of skies are never theirs
with all the claims and cares
in the estate of God
we all have our due shares!
Immense vastness that poem carries in the lines...a thoughtful write up, indeed;
for this one, i must tell you, I do not call or think it a poem at all, but a v simple comment that came to mind after reading that poem, and Dinesh ji is certainly not the addressee here! There are two sides to everything and his poem gave me a ground to talk the other way round!
As my kite struggles to fly in their sky I watch your kite with stronger thread flying high in your sky, I begin to wonder where the boundaries have been drawn And my kite looks up to your kite and skies With all solace for a phase yet to emerge...... Your version is right Shahziaji, And let this optimism descend on me too.
let we swim in this grace of god float And no plots no boundary for that/(we all have our due shares!) that / bright on a very positive tone

Yes, 'None can own the skies! '. You've so beautifully laid out our simple thoughts in this poem through the analogy of kite flying! 'with all the claims and cares in the estate of God we all have our due shares! ' - How thoughtfully you have spoken of our rights in the 'Estate Of God', a beautiful end to a beautiful poem. I must say here, I liked most of the readers' comments posted on your poem.
Well penned.For the time being US owns the skies of Afghanistan and Pakistan.They bought it dunno for how much costs.The other skies are preparing to beat falcons because China, Iran and Russia does not want any more Pakistan from their lands.They learned Indian and Soviet lessons through times and also thorugh Iraq-Irans islamic brotherhood of 1980-88 that killed 2,5 million Iranians itself from western supplies to Iraq.
We can fly free if we choose it so, and never fall for worldly messages which want to pull us down.
sky is the limit for your words...........feelings of readers fly with your thoughts...
