Nonsense 10 Poem by Phil Soar

Nonsense 10

I woke this early morning
I looked up at the sky
It was as black as night-time is
I could not imagine why
I'd slept all night in Raybans
And didn't know I had
So day is night and the sun don't shine
It's become a sort of fad
I also sleep in speedo's
In case the sun comes out
And then When I wake up next day
I can leap and jump and shout
I can run down to the pool side
Before the Germans wake
They put their towels on the poolside chairs
And that's a big mistake
I usually get there early
And throw them all away
And watch them look astounded
It really makes my day
