Normal Life Poem by nicola burkett

Normal Life

Wanting a normal life is easier said then done
When the ghosts you carry make your soul comfortably numb
When people try and get close you push them away
To you, you can't get hurt in the life of solitary you live in day after day
The games you play, the heated words you never mean to say
Are justified when you tell yourself, thats it's ok.
