North Star Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

North Star

North Star

Memories come to mind
Every time visit mall.

Though each one different
All of them are the same:
“Go around, spend time
Have some food, also shop.”

First of mine; USA
was very different
I ended in the mall
just because was afraid.

I got in public bus
To learn of, Texas bus;
payment was funny and
to me bus, went too far.

Having heard of Texas
of cowboys and wild guns
I got off, ran and walked
In that way entered mall.

North Star, was mall’s name
along the highway ten.

There was where
I met the laughing girls
One of whom happened to
become my girlfriend.

Years have passed as decades
But Judy in heart, still has her place
