North Star Poem by Aftab Alam

North Star

Rating: 5.0

One star,
Very far,
Seven post man,
One great bear
Searching the address,
My dear,
Leave the tail,
Search from head,
There stood a guiding star,
A little far,
The North Star,
The pole star..

Good one with a good message. But the North Star (Pole Star or Polaris) is not in the constellation Great Bear (Ursa Major) . It is the brightest star of the constellation Ursa Minor (Little Bear) , farther down north of the Great Bear. The Little Bear has also seven stars and the Pole Star is at the tip of its tail.
