Not Everybody Is Perfect Poem by Francis Duggan

Not Everybody Is Perfect

Rating: 5.0

Not everybody is perfect and not everybody is good and kind
but if you look for the good in others the good you are certain to find
No such a thing as a good or a bad race of people in every race there's bad and good
Human Beings to say the least complex we are not easily understood
Human Beings capable of great acts of kindness though some commit serious crime
There are good and bad in all races as we have heard many a time
Rank and status and material possessions of one does not tell us a thing
Though it would seem the praises of such people that many do like to sing
Not everyone can be famous and wealthy many of opportunity denied
The Homeless and Stateless and hungry were not born with God on their side
So many people must grow poorer for each and every new millionaire
And millions don't have homes to live in all around the big World out there
We sing the praises of the celebrities but the name of the pauper none wish to recall
And though some may talk of a fair go no such a thing as a fair go for all.
