You want me to eat cow's tongue?
You must be pulling my leg!
I can't eat things from an animal's mouth!
Just bring me a soft-boiled egg!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Based on a true experience that happened years ago.

Some of my aunts and uncles had gone into a restaurant to eat (something they didn't do often because of limited funds)and beef tongue was on the menu. Some of them were thinking that maybe they would try it, but one of my uncles said: 'Not me! I won't eat anything that came out of an animal's mouth! Bring me a hard-boiled egg! '

I changed it to soft-boiled in the poem because the eggs in the picture look more like soft- than hard-boiled.

Humorous and original. We smile. The dish you present looks wonderful Is it leeks, capers and soft boiled eggs? Bonne appetite!
