Not Geneva, But Onega Poem by Liza Sud

Not Geneva, But Onega

Not Geneva, but Onega -
I want to contemplate this lake forever.
Not Zurich but Petrozavodsk
is dear to me hundred times more.

Here people are quiet and fair,
and always friendly.
as in Petersburg's not aggressive,
and full of goodness.

leave me alone with your stupid tourism -
of you I'm so tired!
I love immobility outwards
Only in my heart is - a target.
