Not Ready
She always thought he'd protect and provide. But suddenly he left... so he could selfishly hide.
The family portrait was left on the bed, he blotted with marker, his entire head.
He offered no new address or any number to call.
he left our lives, and let the family fall.
No good bye, or so long,
just an empty house, and tare apart mom,
You said your a man, and that some day ill learn,
Seven years past, and you still reach concern.
Although your my father, it doesn't mean that your their
it means that you loved me, but words disappear.
I knew you half my life, but that's not enough,
to call you my dad, or wish you luck.
But I know deep down,
in my heart and yours,
that this was met to be
you just weren't ready to take care of me.
