Not The Same One Poem by Amitava Sur

Not The Same One

Rating: 4.8

Now I am not the same one
The same old me.
I am sad I am silent
Searching myself within me.

I may not see you
But I am with you still
Your soft soothing invisible hand
Touches and caress me.

I listen you whisper around
But no more speak with me
No more that sweet voice with smiling face
No more clinging on me.

I feel you to be by my side
But when I clasp you with my two hands –
Nothing in between I see.

I keep myself shut up
Keep on searching thee,
I miss you in loving you
But I am with you still.

Now I am not the same one
The same old me.
I am sad I am silent
Searching myself within me.

Your loss resonates into the universe of poetry, keeping your love sacredly alive through your loving of her beautiful nature in your poems. Your love fills the world with sadness as we too, mourn for you when reading your heartfelt poetry. Touching us with your tender thoughts and fragile being, delicately reaching out in poems, hoping to find some peace of mind. I know you will, Amitava. RoseAnn

I think we spend a lifetime searching for our true self - some find, some do not. A fine, thought-provoking write.
