Not Your Angel Poem by Taylor Ryan

Not Your Angel

Rid of such vile
wish not for you
such lies cut
cut deep down
the veins will give
arteries will take
push and pull
if I let go
you fall
no longer protect
guardian no more
dye myself black
show such hate
forgiveness is gone
forgetfullness along
wish and pray
your angel avenges
no more for you
does a heart go
release your hold
cruel matron
disbelief kindles the flame
warmth burns now
wash away your sins
oils cannot help
whisper to the shout
words linger as salt
take flight
for fright has come
wings are small
for such currents
catch you? HA!
you threw me
such love exists
no longer cherished
fall down
your imprudence
cause for punishment
break this chain
soar across gray
won't turn back
black abyss is home
for one so selfish
protection by reverse
only lasts so long
your heart betrayed
the devil inside
in order to release
such a forsaken
you drowned
hate is within
lashed out here
when you have no right
crya nd scream
blame and rumor
for I will be
stronger than such
you fall because
you gave me up
to the devil
of such hate within
Goodnight, little girl
come play when
you've learned.
