Nothing…

Today, we have crossed the barrier of Six
Tomorrow it will be Seven
Then Eight
We can cross the mountains and the oceans
And someday…someday…
We'll leap across the sky
And look at ourselves from Andromeda
To see that we are
Actually nothing…

We still cannot cross the street
To reach out to the crying child
The burning woman
The hungry farmer
At the bottom of the well…

We are nothing…
