Nothing At All Poem by Barbara Vanier

Nothing At All

Rating: 5.0

I'm telling you please thanks for all that's given
I'm saying please could you spare a little more
And I'm trying hard to live like you expect me
But I lay crying down on the killing floor

I know it's hard for you to see inside me
My reflection a dark shadow in the night
And I'm running hard to be what your after
But I can not see the end for the light

If I can't be everything I ought to
If I can't be everything I should
If I can't be everything you wanted
Then I'll be nothing at all

This road I fear seems destend to find me
This fear it seems has an end of it's own
But I don't know the way perhaps tomorrow, another day
Excuse me while in my head I drift alone
