Nothing Changes Poem by Aisha Sherazi

Nothing Changes

Rating: 5.0

Nothing changes,
Everything stays the same,
‘Tis all simply part,
Of life’s strange game.

The liquid of life,
Reduces nor moves up,
The only thing that shifts,
Is the blasted cup.

We think things are different,
We think that there is hope,
It helps us to go on,
It helps us to cope.

But then, here’s the thing,
Nothing has changed,
The problems may look different,
But they’re just rearranged.

They are the same ones,
We dealt with before,
At least knowing this,
We see now what’s in store.

At least we’re prepared,
To face them all again,
At least we shall know,
There’s no more if, just when.

A lovely poem Aisha, I believe it would flow more evenly in cuplets though, what do you think? It is fine as it is of course and it is your poem. Smiling at you, ever changing Tai
