Nothing I Didn'T Poem by Adam Thoms

Nothing I Didn'T

I used to watch you sleep at night
Tuck you in shut out the light
Look in at two just to see you breathing
Now you're leaving

There's nothing I did
Nothing I didn't.

When you leave me with what I've done
It's then you'll see that you've found someone
Take your flowers and take your dance
By the time you realize I'm not coming back.

There's no strain to talk for hours
Use my change to buy you flowers
They wilt before delivery
You're too busy

There's nothing I did
Nothing I didn't

When you leave me with what I've done
It's then you'll see that you've found someone
Take your flowers take your dance
By the time you realize I'm not coming back.

I don't wanna care about the way your eyes look in the moonlight
I don't wanna care about how soft you kissed or how hard you cried
I don't wanna care about the way you stole my heart
I don't wanna care about the way I feel, I feel too much to care.
