Nothing In Our Arsenal Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Nothing In Our Arsenal

Rating: 5.0

Justice delayed is justice denied
Often said in open but never tried
Every one uses it in its own gain
Only poor suffer and under go the pain

Only but civilized society is to be blamed
They don't come out in open and ideology shared
They conduct seminars and offer lectures
Ideas never float and thus block the future

Votes are sold in open and they don't venture out
Stay at home with family and only talk about
Every body wants to be millionaire overnight
Democracy has become lame and lacks will power to fight

Forget about legal systems in any country
It can't be left to the domain of anybody
People should have to take care
Properly address the system and nurture

Big industrial houses openly support
Involve in tug of war and take ship at the port
Lot many cartels of self interest are on board
The country as whole has to bear the load

The scenario has been completely changed
The criminals are on forefront and system efficiently managed
Everybody is made of clay and exposed to greed
Where can you provide effective machinery to lead?

No one may come out in open and participate
Everybody may dream of beautiful country and leave it to fate
No nightangle may come of its own and sing of patriotism
We need n such imaginary happiness but only humanism

I wish to be part of global happiness
Where it is not marred by color, cast creed or race
Where independent systems rule to the benefit of people and country
Then only there may appear real joy and place to enjoy beauty

Why people should die of hunger elsewhere?
Why at all countries should wage wars?
Why innocents should die in streets and suffer?
Have we nothing in our arsenal to offer?

has great promise Scott Mccloure42 minutes ago Great subject and you have put some thought to it. I have a problem tho with poems that the author cant decide if it is going to rhyme or not. If its not thats fine and seems most poems nowadays dont but if its going to then it should all the way thru.
