There is nothing like the darkness
To set the stage for beauty
The sunsets and sunrises
Are simply nature’s duty

And they show up very brightly
When darkness is the backdrop
It truly stuns the senses
You have to just plain stop

And enjoy the colorful scene
And while you are standing there
Nature has other things
In the darkness it wants to share

A simple wild thistle stands
It’s purple blossom bright
Makes you feel that everything
On this day will be alright

Wild grasses wave in the breeze
As the day ends or a new one begins
We must stop and enjoy the darkness
And the beauty that it sends!
