Nothing Out Of The Ordinary Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Nothing Out Of The Ordinary

Today is filled with things to do
Everything resembles the day before
Laundry done… Lunch to be fixed
Add milk to the grocery list… another chore

Watching the noon day news upon the screen
Caught up in the middle of global unrest
Locally crimes occur… some are unsolved
In the quiet of my home… feeling distressed

Taking a look outside and watching a squirrel
climb the height of a shady evergreen tree
Someone is walking by talking on a cell phone
A neighbor is mowing his lawn noisily

Stepping from the porch into the sunlight
Newly formed rose buds are on display
The anticipation of summer brings a smile
Feeling very blessed on this remarkable day
