Nothing Special Poem by Mike Kosman

Nothing Special

My day was two hours old at sunrise
Sometimes I hate when morning comes around
Now I'm still out here working on this cold and lousy job
And the sun is going down

Nothing special happening at home tonight
There ain't much that a couple hours allow
But home seems such a long time and so far away
God how I wish I was there right now

Nothing special happening at home tonight
My woman right beside me and the fire burning bright
Children on my lap and we got nothing to do at all
Guess it's pretty special after all
