Nothing To Give Poem by David Harris

Nothing To Give

Rating: 4.0

As we walk along life’s highway
we see outstretched hands for something,
but we pass by saying
we have nothing to give.
However, we are wrong
as we have more to give than we think.

We have words of comfort
to console someone in time of loss,
a heart filled with love
to extend to everyone we meet.
Hands to hold and guide
those who have lost their way.

We may think because we have no money
that we have nothing to give.
We have ourselves and our time,
our compassion and our love.
If we turn our back on these
then we truly have nothing to give.
