She weeps on my shoulder
Feeling the weight of the boulder
Of life
The tears come like rain
Carving up the pain
With a knife
I believe it’s time to go
Down that road we don’t know
In the back of my mind
I know there hope to find
Faith has gotten us this far
Can we reach for that shining star
Her voice is full of sighs
Dreams swimming in her eyes
Of blue
Desperation so ghostly near
So scared of a fear
So true
I believe it now or never
If we are going to end up together
Will the heart strings hold steadfast
Can we make tension an outcast
Can we do more than we are able
How much more can we bring to the table
Will it be a feast for many
Because reservations I haven’t any
I believe it’s now or never
A decision that will last forever
Will the heart massage the brain
And lead us through love’s hurricane
She weeps on my shoulder
But they are tears of joy
Tonight
They come down like rain
And I catch then without a strain
But with delight
